My mother, sister, and myself chose to stay [with Almost Home] for 8 days during another sister's surgery, and could not have asked for anything more accomodating.

The home was clean and roomy, the beds were very comfortable, washer and dryer in the basement were very beneficial. It was very affordable and having a kitchen was a money-saver, also. We were close to a grocery, Walgreens, and Sonic. We were easily able to access the internet with our laptop and when I needed driving directions, a phone call to Toni and I was ready to go. The cottages are located in a nice quiet neighborhood and were very easy to get to from the hospital. Toni, the owner, is a very nice, friendly, and helpful lady -- comforting to have someone like that to call when you're so far from home.

Almost Home is exactly as the name implies, "ALMOST HOME". When you walk into the duplex you will find everything you will need to live comfortably. Toni is the best landlord anyone would ever find. She is right on top of things in every situation, even providing transportation to the hospital when a patient is in need. The duplexes are clean and tastefully decorated. The yards are maintained beautifully in the summer and sidewalks are cleared of snow and ice in the winter. Seasonal decorations are provided and give a sense that you are really at home. Holiday decorations certainly do brighten your days and lift your spirits. Almost Home is a family community of people waiting for or recovering from similar medical procedures. Tenants help each other through the tough times. Almost Home will always be our first choice, if and when we return to St. Louis and Barnes Jewish Hospital for medical treatment.

Almost Home was an answer to our prayers. We had to stay in St. Louis for 39 radiation treatments. It was wonderful to be able to be in a home-like atmosphere and our children and grandchildren were able to spend time with us.

The location is VERY convenient and close to the hospital. There aren't enough words to describe Toni's generosity, she has a wonderful servant's heart and in spite of her busy schedule she is always available!

I was a cancer patient at Barnes Hospital and was instructed to stay in St. Louis for another month of care before returning home. I searched the city for a place to stay during that month and decided my best bet was to check into Almost Home. I'm so glad I did.

The cost to stay in St. Louis for another month after my treatment was a major factor, and I didn't want to sacrifice quality for expense. First of all, Almost Home was the least expensive place I cold find, and more importantly, it was the best quality. Even the cheapest hotel/motel was almost $70 per night and I didn't want to stay in a motel room for a month.

From our first contact with Toni until we left St. Louis, everything was first class. The unit was clean, larger than I had expected, and located in a beautiful neighborhood. Everything was included, nothing was forgotten. From the washer/dryer hook-up, cable TV, and computer ethernet connection to the full kitchen with all accessories.

I HIGHLY recommend Toni's accomodations to EVERYONE in need of a special place to call Almost Home.

Almost Home is just what the name implies, and Toni, the manager, made our seven month stay much more comfortable than it would have been otherwise. The duplex is completely furnished with everything we needed; all we had to do was unpack our clothes and personal items. If we needed anything from advice on local restaurants and attractions to emergency assistance, Toni was always there to help, day or night. We were amazed at how hard she worked, including mowing yards after dark! We were completely happy with Almost Home.
